2 - 15 L7 sound quality questions

yeah put those L7's in a big ported box, they still have amazing Sq in a ported setup and ive run a kx2500 at 1ohm all day before. Make sure you have good electrical system because kicker amps take alot of power and get cranky as hell when you dont give them enough (need some big wires)

also keep that cross over in check so ya dont be hearin mids and peoples voices in the subs (tends to get real muddy) haha

i live like 2miles from the kicker plant and have run plenty of L7 setups bro so listen up!

Ya, box size is the 'muddy' sound. Tune those 15's low, and set your low pass low, and you'll be impressed. you're just giving them too much cushion to move like they want to

I tuned my 15's too high, but in a big box, and i can tell they want to go WAY lower, even with the dropoff below tuning freq, they still play louder 10+hz beow my tuning frequency, whoops.

yeah..i guess i over reacted but after tuning a little and messing with the amp and deck, the subs sound way cleaner. still muddle at high levels.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif , but better. next thing to do is build the box....but im still iffy about getting my amp @ 1 ohm...might not work

Wire the amp at 1ohm not 4 ohms. I dont know wut power kx2500.1 puts out at 4ohms but i dont think it would be enough for 2 06 15" L7s. Wire it to 1 ohm and i think you will be happy.
