Hey wassup guys, i just put in my kx2500.1 and hooked it up to (2) 15 L7, but i dont like the way it sounds. It sounds a little muddy and i know it can sound way better. THis is my setup:

Pioneer dvd deck

kx2500.1 to two 4ohm dvc 15 L7 : wired for 4 ohms

2 pair of eclipse components powerd by JL 300/4

the highs and mids sound great but the subs **** right now. It sounded better when i had my sony amp in there, but not as powerful as now. So far it only sounds good when the vol is low-mid range but when i crank up, its muddy and the bass has no character. Souns mono-tone. I tried adjusting the amp and deck setting but have no idea what im doing. Can anyone tell me what their settings are on the amp if you have one or what do the hell does the subfilter and all that other crap do. what frequency should it be at? Im not looking for competition sound quaility but somthing that im not afraid to turn up and sound good. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

Any input appreciated:

thanks guys.

thats why. unless you have limited space build a bigger ported box. 4-5 cubes per sub@32hz since you want more sq but im sure other people are going to advise a higher tunning.

You should find hot Carl's box build with a 1 06 L7 in a 4.5cu. ft @ 32.5hz... People can say what they want but after seeing that video.. well the proof is in the pudding.. You'll know what I mean when you see it.

where can i find it? im so mad right now. I spent 500 bucks on the amp, spent 3 hours putting it in and it doesnt impress me sound quaility wise.

x2. i think youll be both impressed and alot more happy with a proper box

Wire the amp at 1ohm not 4 ohms. I dont know wut power kx2500.1 puts out at 4ohms but i dont think it would be enough for 2 06 15" L7s. Wire it to 1 ohm and i think you will be happy.

L7 FTW!
