ok so i got 1 12" mag v3 running off of a kx1200.1 (1300rms)in a ported box tuned to 32hz @ 2.0 ft. and im going to be adding another 12" mag in the near future and be throwing another kx1200.1 to it. so i'll have 2 12" mags with a total of almost 3000 watts going to them. My question is will i gain any noticeable diffrence if i tune a little higher to 35hz?

definately be louder, yes....
im talking about tuning only, i know adding a sub and double the power will be louder but if i were to tune higher would i gain any noticeable diffrence? this is a daily driver but i want to sound loud but not like ***..........

Play around with the drivers in WinISD. They'll show you (theoretically) what kind of response curve you should expect. My guess is there won't be a very big difference. More so if you tune to 38.

anybody ran there mags in box tuned to 35 hz how was it compared to say 32 hz or 30 hz?
Ido 34hz ,dual chamber and off 2500 watts and amp has it gains set properly without clipping. when I turned it up to about 26-27 on the 9815 hu the sound pressure is too much to be setting inside the car at least for me it hurts my ears something awful espacially on late nite tip and I`m in love with a strpper and other bass heavy song, it flexs my back windows pertty good I have never had it turned up to 30 so it would more then likely flex the roof...ooh also the bass is clean even at that level, hope this helps.

but will 38hz even sound good? this is going to be a daily driver i still want the lows.........
It will likely sound better than you might think. I made a measurement mistake with one of the boxes that I built and ended up tuning it to 45hz. Didn't sound half bad.

If you want noticeable gains in SPL and aren't afraid to lose a little bit of low end, 38 would be a safe bet. Then again, I really don't know anything about how these drivers behave with higher tuning, but I'd be willing to bet they would sound fine for a daily driver. Still, check out WinISD.
