2 12" L7 Ported box buid

I used a black and decker jigsaw that I picked up at HD. lol I think its the 4.5 Amp Variable Speed Jigsaw with Storage Bag.

you bastard lol...

i have that exact same jigsaw...

the main issue with mine is that the blade holder has a tendency to let the blade make cuts on a slant, and sometimes it takes quite a bit of pressure to hold it down while making a cut... is there anything in particular you do that makes things easier?

no, i think urs is screwd up or something. Mines is good, i have had horrible experiences with b&d, but this thing is good. I like the idea of variable speed, you can turn the speed down for accuracy when your taking corners.

you know... the more questions i ask you the more it sounds like my jigsaw is forked... plus i'm out of HD return policy... so i'll probably just have to buy another one.

well THAT sucks lol...

great box tho bro haha

I have a question, is it okay not to use glue? I Predrilled my holes, used 2" fine drywall screws, cocked the seams with liquid nails for wood. I didn't add glue inbetween the joints, just liquid nails to make it air tight. I also did screws every 5-5 inches.

I have not tried it out, yet. The box is still in the making, waiting on carpet and a free day from work/school. I might have to add glue to the joints now because i skipped that step. Another thing do you guys think it would be okay for the screws to be take out at this point to add glue? What glue is best for this? gorilla glue?

Titebond 1, 2, or 3. Forget Gorilla Glue. I used Titebond 1 when I made my last box, worked fine. I think the different versions have different cure times.

It's fine to take out the screws. The glue is what will hold it together, the screws just keep it clamped until the glue cures.
