2 10's ported 1000RMS vs. 3 10's sealed 2000RMS

I have an 07 Mustang and am currently running 2 polk SR104 SVC in a ported box off of a DSC2000.1 @ 2 ohms. I was wondering if I added a 3rd SR 104DVC, paralleled the coils, then paralleled that to what I have for a 1 ohm load in a sealed box would it be louder ? Subs are behind the back seat, facing foward, and all but sealed off from the trunk due to the limited size hole there. I cant do much different since I have limited space and still like to use my trunk for hauling my trap guns and what not around.

You don't want to run different ohm subs, they won't all get the same amount of power. They're present a single ohm load to the amp but the power will get split up according to what ohm load the subs are. In this case you'll have 1kw going to the DVC sub that's wired to 2ohms, and 1kw being split between the other two that are wired to 2ohms.

Gotcha RAM, I had kinna wondered about that. In that case by adding a third SVC sub, presenting a 1.33 ohm load, theoretically making it 1500 watts RMS on 3 sealed subs, would I see any gain in output ?

It's debateable. You might gain more in the 45hz+area but lose some down low. I personally wouldn't do it because you're going to lose low-end output by going to a sealed box, assuming your box is tuned fairly low right now.

I think it's tuned right about 35 per Polk's tech guy's reccomendation from using their modeling program for the dimensions I had to work with and the specs on the woofers.
