2 10's in a box meant for 2 12's

i have 2 10s in a box meant for 2 12's. my question is if i get a box that is meant for 2 10's will it affect the way it sounds , or will it sound better?. their running off of a radio shack 250 watt amp.

well, how do you have the tens mounted? Are they properly sealing the bigger hole where the 12's were supposed to be?

Depends on the subs and how big the box is for the 12's etc. For the most part you will be ok as long as the box is not waaaaaaaaaaay too big. I generally like the sound of a larger box per given sub. You might lose some power handling and gain some effeciency which is good with that amp. What subs are you using?

i didn't even know radio shack made amps. make sure your front baffle is nice and solid and no air leaks.

under the optimus brand name, they were in the catalogs a few years ago.

they are boss subs i think they are 1000watt max. but i think ill go to best buy and buy a box for 2 10's.

they are subs for my bedroom, they dont need to be w7's they just need to thump and they do, thank u very much.
