How would you change it? That box overall is 35x14x12. Yeah it peaked pretty high.

Go with a normal ported box. Designed properly it will peak lower and will probably be louder as well.

Much, much, much more could be had out of that setup. 145's wouldn't be out of the question, while still being able to play music.
I'm not a big fan of that big long port or horn or t-line or whatever the hell TTB wants to call it.

Did that thing peak at 55 hz?

Try some aeroports and experiment with box/tuning changes. This way you can easily adjust the voume and tuning changes to reach your goals.
