Doesn't help they have cut wire on the terminals. Cut wires makes one think they are possibly a little warm.

That said, these are nice subs, inefficient, but sound wonderful, and if given clean power in the proper enclosure will easily take 2x rated power. My first sub was a 12w0-4.
