Well i decided to build my first box and every thing that could go wrong did, first off the only way i could transport it was in my sisters car (93 mitsubishi mirage) so i had to get the wood cut into 4 pieces, when i got the wood home i found out that my brother took my table saw so i couldn't do anything except plot my lines using a pencil and a tape measure i then found out that i didn't have a long enuff peice of wood for the bases (pissed me off) so i had to make do with what i had, next day i got the saw and cut the wood i realised i messed up on the front board where the sub mounts since it was no where near being even with the top board.... it was a headache but a good learning experience and now i think i can build a box better next time so im getting me another board tomorrow and homedepot is going to cut my measurements for me this time

just thought i would share this with every one

always measure 2-3 times before cutting and try to either visualize the pieces together or actually put them together.

I have yet to make a box but much credit to you for the effort...

make sure you lay out every board for your box before you start cutting. You can lay out your boards to cut out and some may not fit, but sometimes you can erase and re-arange your boards to get all sides of the box on the material you have available. In other words...PLAN AHEAD.

i did plan ahead its just that im not to be trusted with a table saw i get trigger happy and start cutting shiit all out of shape and in different angles and stuff

but i'll keep that in mind, im going to pick up another sheet of wood today using my buddys truck so hopefully i can get the box the way i want it im just going to have to be more careful
