OK guys -

My friend has a 1996 Honda Civic and there is no radio ever put in it, not even factory so therefore there are no wires anywhere. I was wondering if anyone else has added all the wires for the head unit and all the speakers and what the deal is? Is there a kit you can buy with all the wires or what? Everything I've ever installed just used the factory wires but since there are none, what do I do?

Thanks guys

You might be able to get a kit from honda but there factory wiring is way to small for a after market system. Considering the amount of time it's going to take to disassemble the car and run the wires you might as well install thicker wire like 16-10 gauge. If your going to add an amplifier than you should run 4 gauge power wire. The head unit only needs 1 constant 12 volt wire from the battery (10-12 gauge), 1 switched 12 volt ignition wire (12-16 gauge) and 1 ground wire (10-12 gauge). THe power and ignition wire should be fused. Then you will need to run speaker wires from the head unit to the speakers (12-16 gauge). Your system will sound good and you'll have thick enough wire for a powerful system. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
