1996 accord alternator

hey, i figure that jap cars made in america dont have very high output alternators...but i was wondering exactly how much a 1996 4 cyl accord lx would have? my friend says its down near 40 amps...but that just sounds wrong. I'm running a mtx 81000d amp (and ill be installing the usx-4065 in about a week or two) and the headlights dim even at medium volume. I really don't want to screw up my electrical system by over working the battery/alternator, so i think i might upgrade. I just want to know if paying $200 for an 80 amp alt would make much of a difference. Im sure if the stock alt was only 40 amps, then it would, but 60 or 70 amps, i dont think that would be worth it. any help is much appreciated. thanks -scott

go here, http://www.mralternator.com and look for your car, they have a 130amp alt for $195, and yes, it will make a difference.
