1995 Saturn SL1: Need to know what length wires to use

Anybody who has a 95 Saturn SL1: What length rca jacks from the cd reciever to the amplifier did u use (8ft, 10ft, 12)? I was thinking maybe 12ft (wires going from the dash to the trunk). Also, will to thick of a ground wire mess an amp up?

I was thinking of putting 4 gauge ground wire to an 400x2 watt rms(at 2 ohms) amp n 125x4 watt rms (at 4 ohms). any help will b appreciated. ANYBODY with a SATURN SL1 reply to this tread!!!!!!!!!

use the longest RCAs you have. its always best to get more than you need.

for the amps, bigger = better, but sometimes its hard to fit the big wires into the amps- so get some kind of connector (ring terminals work great) like a spade or a ring to crimp on the end of the wire, and go into the amp terminal.

as for the length. why dont you measure it with some string? put the string in place where your wire will end up, then measure the string. then ask yourself if 10ft RCA's are long enuf.

but thicker wire = better (sometimes overkill) but better.

My RCAs are I believe 16 feet...And barely enough. Go with 18 if you can, at least if you route them like I did. (From dash, behind dash above pedals. and down driver side into the trunk.) And power wire, mine is around 14-15 feet, and again just enough.
