1976 Chevy C10, center console and doors build (DD and Sundown)

Had a customer drop his C10 Chevy by the shop this week to build the an audio system.

He wanted LOUD highs and mids w/ a sub. He originally just wanted his 4 old Kicker DS-6x9's in the console w/ a sub. But after talking to him for a bit, he decided on some DD VO6.5's and B2's in the doors. After hearing the build, He couldn't have been happier.

The build was:

Pioneer DEH-X7500S

4 Kicker DS-6x9

2 DD VO-6.5 mids

2 DD B2 horns

1 DD C5c

1 Power Acoustic BAMF2000/1D (will be replace later w/ DD M80)

1 Sundown SA-10 d2

Now, on to the center console.



1.3cuft @ 34hz for the SA10. Separate chamber for the Kicker 6x9's.





That's how it will set in the vehicle.



Time for the router.



Flush trimmed out. Ready for round-over and carpet.

Couple of finished pics.

Customer didn't want to go w/ fiberglass due to budget, but the basic door panels turned out pretty nice.









The 6x9's in the center console is not really my cup of tea, but that's what the customer wanted.

The DD VO's far over power the 6x9's.

He'll yeah! I have a '78 Chevy C10, and this gives me an idea of how to do my system. Now I gotta find bucket seats!
