This is a picture of it after the initial frame off restoration I did.

Since this was taken I have added

:

4 wheel disc brakes

air conditioning

rear gas tank

custom vdo dash panel

and many other things...

Up next are power windows and power steering and finish sound deadening and stereo system.

Original odometer had 91 k on it. I replaced the stock engine with a freshly rebuilt 1968 327 v8 and a 1987 700r4 automatic overdrive. So I guess you could call this a restomod. Many Toyota pruest cringe at the idea of chevy drivetrain, but I like the power and driveablity it gives.

I haven't ever figured around town mileage, but on a trip to the coast I got 15 MPG on the highway at 70MPH. Not great by any means buts its an old V8. Very true with these old trucks. Had to roll an odo forward in my scout to pass inspection, since it stopped working. God knows what kind of mileage is on my truck:laugh:

Very nice pods and box Nice 40 as well. Wanted one originally over a scout, but couldn't afford one around here unless it was ROTTED. Snap a couple overall/int pics when you get the installed pic ones
