ok thisll be a fun thread...im have 400$ currently.and i will be gaining 400$more in the future.i will also be able to sell my sub and amp if needed to.i could prolly get 700 for them both.i wanna go w/ a 18 if possible.for 800$.my dimensions for box are currently 42 Lx17Wx25 H..that gives me 8.53ft before displacement.i was looking at a solox BUT ill need one bigass amp for it.i could run 2.4kw to it from an alphasonik if i wanted to.i need to factor in sub cost.plus amp to power it.i COULD go 18 for 800 and then dual bx1500d's to it for 3000w of power.this 18 needs to hit harder then a 15" XXX in a 6^3 tuned to 34hz and 1500w or power.i was thinking a csx 18"..for 800$ i could find one right?spl to sq ratio will be 85/15 and lower.

ok it can be 1 18,or dual 15's.whatever will be louder.i COULD go w/ a 18.and have to sell my stuff.it depends how much a 18csx is.

would 2 15XXX's gettin 3kw be louder than a solox getting 2.4kw

that is correct.concerts and whatnot have killed them.im gonna need a hearing aid by 25.i think 2 15's will be louder and more spl than 1 18.18 gets 2kw 2 15's get 3kw

oh yay! these threads are sooo much fun! really they are. But seriously, 1 18 and 2 15's will both be very loud, but id get 1 18 just so i could show it off to ppl's.

howbout 2 18's? lol why not. mite as well. but 2 15" XXX or CSX howbout that.

And adding another XXX would be pretty good too since u already got one. Just add another one and another amp and double that box size!WOOHOO

Hell naw, get the two 15's. Its all about the surface area...but wait...

-15/2=7.5^2=56.25 x 2=112.5^inches x 3.14=353.25^inches

-18x18=324^inches

Yeah, two 15's will be louder and cheaper, plus factor in the more watts, and then itll be a lot louder, and sound better...but not that itll matter in about two weeks when your hearing goes out anyway.

Dual 15"s would be ultimate for me, no 18"s will ever find a home in my car. Too large for a person who needs to hear the mids and highs, not just lows.
