So I decided to experiment with a wall after a few months of having this xxx18 crammed in a sealed box. It did well in 6cuft but I really wanted to see it move. I figured if it didn't work I would just build a box behind it and port it. Databass tested this model and they said it would do well in very large sealed or ib. Car is a 1991 chevy sprint turbo. I calculated 36cuft behind the wall. It was a lot of messing around. Lots of glass and adhesive. I used my old box for the baffle. Stood it up and built panels attaching it to the car. It's very well sealed in. It has a lot more work done on the bracing but haven't got those pics yet.
It sounds way better! I was expecting it to be loose and boomy but it's the exact opposite. Way tighter I guess from lack of ringing and the lows are bottomless. I'm quite surprised. It actually sounds like music! lol. I covered the front with acoustic foam since the first thing I noticed is the change of sound from my highs due to reflecting. It finished it off nice. Don't care what the rear looks like. Its tinted black anyway. I'll post more pics of the rear since it's braced a lot more now.
