18" infinite baffle wall

So I decided to experiment with a wall after a few months of having this xxx18 crammed in a sealed box. It did well in 6cuft but I really wanted to see it move. I figured if it didn't work I would just build a box behind it and port it. Databass tested this model and they said it would do well in very large sealed or ib. Car is a 1991 chevy sprint turbo. I calculated 36cuft behind the wall. It was a lot of messing around. Lots of glass and adhesive. I used my old box for the baffle. Stood it up and built panels attaching it to the car. It's very well sealed in. It has a lot more work done on the bracing but haven't got those pics yet.

It sounds way better! I was expecting it to be loose and boomy but it's the exact opposite. Way tighter I guess from lack of ringing and the lows are bottomless. I'm quite surprised. It actually sounds like music! lol. I covered the front with acoustic foam since the first thing I noticed is the change of sound from my highs due to reflecting. It finished it off nice. Don't care what the rear looks like. Its tinted black anyway. I'll post more pics of the rear since it's braced a lot more now.

A bit heavy yes. I calculated 300lb. Two cs130 alts, 1 large and 4 small agm's all under the hood. Amps are under seats. Wall is actually lighter than the box was so the weight is not all over the rear wheels which helps a lot.

I'm sure the rear loads it a bit since I spent a lot of time sealing the rear over the years since I've always had a box back there but I played it with the rear windows open and the sound didn't seem to change. Sure changes with the front windows open though. It's pretty violent in there with the real low notes. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Not sure if this will work. Pasted a youtube link from a quick vid I made of my system. Will probably do a better one later. Might head over to my buddy's place to do another one. Would like to try a hairtrick on his girlfriend. lol

Very cool. If you get the right woofer, this style very large sealed box sounds really fantastic. I've seen a few nice ones in the old days when IB was more popular.
