18" Fi Q --- The best amp for it?

I need recommendations on which amp to get for this sub.. it is a dual 2 ohm sub.. I have a 1996 Jimmy an amp that will be able to push it sufficently with clean power... I was looking at an MTX TA 7801.... My budget is around $250 shipped

Its alot that will fit the desire output your looking for, anything that puts out around 1000-1200w will be fine, as long as its a good brand.

Will an MTX TA 7801 work perfect for this sub? It puts out 1200 watts rms but I am told that is underrated by atleast 200 watts?

id say sundown because when i had a problem with my previous one i had jacob himself post in my thread and help me trouble shoot untill we decided it was the amp at fault and got a replacement with no problems. the current one is doing excellent.
