18" FI Q Enclosure

Hi i need some help to make a box, i kno nothing about it.

I have a nissan xterra 2004 dimenions 3x2x 1.5.

i would liek to use the smallest box possible according to the knowledgable on here.......

First, if the box is 2' x 2' x 1.5', then its not going to be 6 ft^3. Displacement of wood/sub will make it smaller, especially if you want it ported (you have to then take into account the displacement of the port as well).

Is 3x2x1.5 your max dimensions? Every inch helps, and if those are your dimensions you will probably be able to barely fit a 6 ft^3 (internal) ported box into your trunk.

With those measurements, using 3/4" MDF (which is recommended), the max gross space you can get is 4.83... which is barely enough for sealed... and when you factor in the sub's displacement, you're left with a measly 4.59 cuFt.

I say either get more room, or get the 12, or 15.
