Well I just spent the last hour or so wiring up my buddies new MTX TA81001. Birthsheet claims 1400wrms at 2ohm, and 1629wrms at 1ohm. I wired the BTL up to it right after I hooked it up and threw the full 1400 at it free-air. Tried to loosen it up a bit for about 5 minutes or so. That BTL was just laughing at that amount of power, and it was free-air. I couldnt believe it, I got it moving quite a bit but I could tell it can handle soooo much more.

I cant wait to put it in, I think Im gonna have to run it in 8cube at 32hz. Anyone got a recommendation for port area?

Hope everyone likes excessive picture taking

^ Had a handfull of grommets but couldnt cram them in the monsterous hole/holes that I drilled out with the hole saw. Barely fit all the wires in but I got a good amount of caulk in there, after it hardens up it should be okay but Im going to keep an eye on it just incase.

As for the car, I need to throw on a set of mufflers in the next weekend or so, and then it gets paint in the summer!

Yeah it has the hi-xmax coil on it since its fully loaded //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Glue held up great, subs in perfect working order, Ive free-aired it a couple times because Ive gotten too anxious and wanted to see it move //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Plus I wanted to loosen up the suspension a little

I called Scoot at Fi before I reconed the woofer and he told me that glue would be fine, so I proceeded at his instruction //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Quick Question: How did you go about making the hole that big in your firewall. I've tried using my nice dremel with a hard stone bit but it barely grinds anything away.
A hole saw bit made for metal, got it from local hardware store

Like this one, but smaller, and its specific for metal. Ive used a wood style one before and it worked but tore it up a bit, the only difference is the style of teeth on it.

That would make things so much easier if I could actually get to the firewall from the engine side. The only access I have is from the inside of the car and I've gotta get in a weird position to even get to that spot, haha. Thanks though!

Same for me, I head to lean up underneath the dash on the drivers side. I was attempting to drill out a hole at like a 45 degree angle, which is next to impossible especially without a punch. Well I found a small dented spot in the firewall, so I was able to get the bit to grab, as soon as the bit made it through the hole saw just ripped the ***** apart.

But then I had to have another hole next to it for the other run of 1/0. But there was no other small dents in the firewall to drill on. I basically just stuck the bit of the hole saw in the existing hole, pushed it to the top and let that ***** bite a little bit and it ripped right through.

Didnt turn out how I expected because I wanted to have two purdy holes with grommets but it ended up working out okay. I dont think it will have any problems, its caulked all to hell and the wires arent going anywhere. Zip tied and sealed up tight //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
