Nah bones I know you werent calling him out, but dwright was when he said

i ran a memphis 16-st1000D @ .5 ohms bridged daily.
and you blew the woofer probably because you didnt have it installed properly. the box was probably wrong, the tuning was probably to low and you was feeding it to much power at that low of a tuning.

some people don't know much and they think they do. that's where they usually end up putting their foot in their mouth and don't even have the slightest clue... as for how loud an Lvs 18" is... my soloX 10" was doing 145.2@37hz dash all day... and it was in it's music install with music power... not some fart machine... and if I doubled box size to closer to 6 cuebs it would've been able to house a pair and do even better... so I don't personally think n Lvs is worth a dump... I'm not a kicker fanboy either. I run whatever I can get loud, I'm sure the 141@40hz probably had a lower F10 than my 45@37hz just because the sub and box resonants and amount of air moved but still that only helps the ear factor... I've run larger setups just like to toy with small stuff too. doesn't the Lvs run a redicilous long former and a 3" one at that? I see no real point for the dual baskets and spiders and stuff. the smallest spider imo would be what would hold the sub back from excursion suspension wise.. without even reading anything on it I'd hope it was a progressive design... seems like an attempt to get linearity on long excursions both of which I doubt were very good on that sub or it would have evolved into something better by now... I know memphis mojos are loud. but the Lvs I have my doubts. memphis amps are pretty good to imo. I've only run 1 but it was decent stuff... similar to the orion silver amps imo havn't tried the new memphis stuff, but seems every brand runs the same korea based stuff anyway so I'm sure they're good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif I only bring up the other memphis gear so it's CLEAR I'm not bashing memphis as I'm sure Corey is alot louder than me. I just don't like the Lvs for anything other than inverted mounting for looks because as for sound goes there are ALOT of higher level SQ subs that the Lvs wouldn't step to in spl or sq imo... maxs, mags, XBL^2 XXX to name a few.. 13w7 would be a personal pic of mine over an Lvs and they can be found relatively cheap on forums now and then... locally is the best though to get a score on one... I never siad how much power was going to the LVS i heard it could of been 750 or 20 i dont really know i heard the **** thing in the cookeville walmart parking lot one night. I know quite a bit about memphis products myself but im not a genius with them. BTW what beef yall got with TN? And Corey J ygpm.

I know quite a bit about memphis products myself but im not a genius with them. BTW what beef yall got with TN? And Corey J ygpm.

Im wondering about the TN jokes my self? I ran an LVS 15" off of a big belle and well lets say I popped it. I think the amp went and that spiked and took out the sub. Dont know for sure but mine loved all the 1100rms I was giving it and was **** loud and sounded great! (sq car) I have install pics on here I posted when I did my build.
