18 in subwoofer choices on 2k

Same here lol. I owned a pair of DD's and they sounded fine, and they are notorious for having that sound as well. Kind of expected seeing as how AQ and DD are sister companies though. I'm curious what the hollow sound is supposed to be lol..

Just to clear up any confusion, DD and AQ are two seperate companies not affiliated at all. The motors are not the same, and the soft parts are not interchangeable. They used to share some warehouse storage space, but that's about it.

i am taking my time, i dont plan on changin it up till about the end of the year. but im just seeing whats out there from people with experience. everything in my area is kicker and prefab flee market boxes. not my style lol

and what is vibe audio? new company?

Vibe has been around a while. Just not as bog in states until recent

How are you going to decide what the box is tuned to before you even know what woofer you are running?

2 15s off 2k will be louder. Went from an FI btl 18 to 2 15" tc 3000's and way more output in the same space. Lots more motor force.

I'd go for 2 15's with some big motors.
