1 alternator charging at 16v

16v battery for the back with the stereo.

12v battery for the cars standard electrical

is there anythign that could be made that would be put in between the alty and the 12v battery, and would regulate the volatge down to a 12-14v for the front battery. and if this would be added, how would that be effected by 16v side thats moving alot of current (300-400amps). would the 12v side be effected even if its only pulling the cars regular electrical requirements and maybe a 300w amp for the door speakers??

There is the powermaster stepdown module, you run a 16v alt, and connect your 12v needs in with the stepdown module.

The kinetik 3 post 12/16 volt setup looks to be super easy, but unfortunately I've heard the 12v side doesn't give much power for accessories, etc //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif (of course it was a rep of another battery vendor that said the kinetik 3 posts are worthless)

I'd like to find a way to do 12/16v as well without a dedicated alternator, and without just running offa battery power, so's a person could get 18v outta the alt //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif

Is there a class where you can have 16v batteries that requires car off? I know in street you have to have a 12V battery. Im not sure on other classes.
pretty much when you can run 16v your in a car on class I believe in dbdrag.

I just want 16v in a daily driver for more powa

All classes with 12V batts have car off. All classes with 16V have car on. In street and street max you can only have 12V, so you wouldn't be in Street C, BassAddictJ. You would be in SS NW 1-2

This is what I got from Erik at kinetik, I just want to find somebody that has actually tried the 3 posts:

The 16V post needs to be charged with a 16V alternator charging at no more than 19.2V then the 12V post will

get its power "stepped" down from that charge , and it can run the

vehicles 12V needs, now doing this you do limit the ammount of current

avaliable so if you need more than 1000A at 16V you will need to run a

second unit in the rear for the amplifiers , or more according to the

ammount of power you are looking to produce.

Thanks

Kinetik

i cant recall off the top of my head, can i use 16v in street c? if not then **** it, i wanna stay in that class.

this module, where can i find one thatll fit my needs? and if i CAN run 16v in street c, would my front 12v battery with no amps on them be counted? i can onyl have 2 batteries being used in street c, not sure if a front 12v bat not being used would be counted and bump me outa my class is i have 1 12v for the var and 2 16v in the back for the amps
