16 gig usb memory stick for $30, good deal?

ouch, on second thaught im thinkin this is a scam item...
when you load up over 10 gigs of information a bogus file is created which is unable to be deleted, the only way to get rid of it is to format, then once songs (up to 15 gigs) are loaded in again they are unable to be played and converted to some other type of format?

the file that is created is just listed as "over 1.14 gigs" and unable to be deleted ... ****it! stupid scammers on ebay!

I got no bogus file on mine...granted, I am not in windows, so maybe this makes a difference?

what did you load into your drive? try to play them all to see if they work correctly

i was able to load 15 gigs of mp3's although 3/4 of them were not able to play and had a file size of 0 kb even when i copyed they manually or synced them through windows media player...

ya it only has 4 gigs of total space, anything beyond that becomes currupted, but the seller on ebay refunded my money so i basically got a free 4 gig flashdrive

no the barts test writes and reads information simantaneously in real time, in incriments of your choosing to determine the actual capacity of storage devices... its pretty much a standard for flash drives....

after a clean fat32 format and the barts test, the results were 4 gigs of actual readable non currupted information can be written, beyond that information becomes currupted and unusable

i would advise anyone else who purchased one however to email the seller and inform them of there inferior product and request a refund to avoid contacting paypal or ebay about false auctions... Did you guys get the flash drives from the same sellers or different sellers?

Same thing here. I did a Ubuntu bootable install on it. After deleting the partition a couple days later, the drive was left "unreadable" and unable to be re-partitioned or formatted through windows (tested in several dif PC's). I reported it DOA to the seller, and he promptly refunded my money, no questions asked
