15L7or15L5 in ported box???

im thinking about buying one of these subs and putting it in a ported box.. i know the L7's are more expensive and put out more power, but will there be a big difference in sound between the two... i want my bass to carry a lot oustide my truck. what should i do or does anyone have any suggestions? i have a jbl 1200.1 amp that i will be using.thanks

get the L7 d2 run your amp at 1 ohm in a ported box i am running a similar setup very soon.. i bought a refurb L7 for 200 shipped so hopefully it works out fine

my friend has a 15L7 in a ported box.. he said he wants enough money so he can get a box built for his two 18 kicker comp vr's.. i might buy the box and sub for$200 if hes going to sell it

no not a big difference, but still, L7>L5

The L7 will handle that power much better, the L5's can not take the abuse an L7 can...
