I went into this shop today.....

and one of the salesmen said he had 3 10" alpine type R's in his ...sebring and he hit 155.....

and he said he was usinga jbl 180.1 !!!

You know better than to ask about that. Maybe with 3 12s with the meter in the port, plus a hell of a lot of power. He probably doesn't even have enough power to break mid 140's.

He must have burned you because there is no way he was running three type R's with that amp. And even if he was he would never get 155db out of it.

i think that guys bull shiting you man because i dont even think my car would break the 150's with 4 12" subs with deccent power going to them

i agree no chance of it. also this is totally different but depends on the amp if it's a cheater amp or not. i know jbl doesn't make them but i know i used to run a kicker xs100 for like a month in my car that is rated at 100watts at 4ohm so i told everyone it's a 100 watt amp but at 1ohm mono like i ran it the sucker put out 1000watts rms and was underrated. i still say no chance in hell of 155 especially in a sebring it has a trunk right?
