1500 watt hifonics

my buddy has this amp..the hifonics 1500 brutus..its not working...but he says that it still has power...it just doesnt make any sound out of it...so he said if i can get it fixed he'll give it to me for 50 bucks and since theres still power goin thru it i figured it shouldnt be too hard to fix..so i was wondering if anyone has any ideas what it could be? because for 50 bucks i don't think i can go wrong if its fixable even with some repair money

get a dmm and check if its sending power, and check the wiring on the subs, that ended up being my problem....

It could be any number of things, there's no set price unless you send it to k&b audio, but from what I heard they don't fix those amps anymore.

rip it up and check for shorts with a multimeter. Might be couple componets in the amplifer that is fried. Just a thought.

hes now giving it to me for 40..and im sure i can get it for 30 lol. so it cant be a huge loss but yeah when i get it ill check it out..thanks everyone
