1500 watt AMP suggestions?

Sundown SAZ 1500 Awesome amp, very reliable

thats what i was gonna suggest, pending his budget
I have been considering this amp for awhile but I was looking for a price range on them. Do you guys know?

I don't want to spend more than $400 but looking at some of these amps i might have to

Are you against picking up a used one? you'd be able to get one used for under 400

Edit: Noticed you asked for a price range, i've seen ones that look like they've been kicked around for 280-300+shipping, but you should definitely be able to get one under 400 shipped.

JBL 1200.1 will do around 1380 at 1 ohm and can be picked up for around $300. I just sold one for $180 and I had it for 4 years. VERY reliable amp.

The MTX and sundown are solid choices.

I'd go with the sundown if I had the money and was looking for one of the two.

But in your case, I'd get the AQ2200 for only 390 shipped...new.

2200@1 ohm. Then I'd tune the gains to ~1500-1600 and if I felt the BL ever wanted more, I could simply turn the gains up. Instead of a whole new amp. Headroom. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

I use Waze on my 1500 NEX. The one time I did have issues I had to delete weblink and redownload it. I have location to "while using" on weblink app.

This would go a long way to alleviating the dimming issue, up to around 4000 watts. It can handle 100A continuous and up to 285A 7 second burst...

Well, there is always a bypass that can be McGuyvered. So next time you want to tackle that task, post it. We can help.

I had two Skar amps (4ch & a monoblock) go bad within a year. Post #2 is an excellent recommendation.
