1500 RMS too much?

their not THAT overrated like audiobahn tho
that bx1500 will prob make 1300rms actual watts ease and 1500rms with a good electrical system
I agree with monjo. I only have a 83 amp alternator and I had 2 of them off of it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Itll pound the xxx //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

make the best of it. when you get some more $$ move up in your sub class (DVC's) and just get 1 more BX1500 and run them bridged to 1 sub each. ( It ***** when you buy somthing and it's not what you thought it was)

To the original poster, 4 gauge is just fine.

i had 2 of them as you know in my 04 neon, stock 83 amp alternator //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif Just set the gains by the tutorial and youll be fine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Actually... most of the wires under my hood look about the same size as my 4gauge wire... Except for the battery ground which is like 8. Thanks for all the help people, I'll be upgrading soon.

I dont know what you are talking about saying the kicker kx 1200.1 is not a good amp. Thats just unbelievable, a Kicker Kx 1200.1 is about $800 new, not $300, its not some cheap ass amp. I wouldnt even rank it in the same category as Hifonics.

And there is NO way you were running 3000 watts on a stock alt, even if the stock alt was 150amps. Let alone 83? With 3000watts you are looking at around 200-250 amps at full RMS, let alone any other electrical function fro...you know what I give up...im dissapointed :-/

when I say you, I am referring to a couple different people who probably know who they are, I dont remember Login Names.

This would go a long way to alleviating the dimming issue, up to around 4000 watts. It can handle 100A continuous and up to 285A 7 second burst...
