$150 - which co-axial's

Where can I get these ssx 615's for the cheapest? Would you say they have stronger mids than the pioneer revs?

Thanks for the help guys.

i can get them for you.

i never got a chance to side by side test them against the pio rev's. i haven't spend a whole lot of time with the rev's to remember all the details about them. i just remember that i heard them and i liked them for their all around sound. didn't get to push them full bore to see what they could do or for how long. i don't think you will go wrong either way.

I wish people would quit mentioning those piece of shit CDT's.They sucked when they came out, they still **** now.No surprise.

Pioneer revs. would be the wise decision here, from my knowledge.I don't have any experience with the crystals.

No, Revs are sold as either coax or comp. They aren't convertable. They're good speakers, by the way.

The grill won't be necessary if it's being mounted inside the door, behind the panel. Are you mounting yours differently?

Oh, ok. Now I get it. So do you guys know where I can get them coax for cheap?

Just did some searching - It seems the model number of the coax rev's is TS-D161R. I found them on amazon

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B0008090W6/nextag-ce-20/ref=nosim

Are those the ones I want? Now I only have one concern, and that is that the component version sound better, and everyone who is reccomending them to me was listening to the component version. So anyone who reccomended them to me, you used the coax version right?

Thanks for the help

Not to thread jack, because this guy may be curious as well

But the SSX vs REVs - how much power can each handle daily? I've heard testimonies that the REVs sound good and get piss loud, but Crystal is known for quality

Will The Crystals hold on to 150x2 daily and not take a dive for the worst?

Once again, sorry to thread jack

when the ssx 615 first became available (which was months before the sscs 6 was), i took out the dyns in my wifes truck and put the ssx 615 in thier place. the amp is a US Amps AX TU 600. 150w x 2. they took it pretty darn good. only a couple notches less on the volume than what i coule push the dyns at.

xover point, music type, will be factors in how well they take it. the ssx 615 doesn't have the mechanical travel the sscs does. shorter voice coil is one of the very few difference between them.
