$150 - which co-axial's

I want some 6.5" coax for my front stage. There will be no rear fill and probably 1-10 or 1-12 for sub bass. For now they will run off the alpine head unit but eventually they will be amped. I want nice mids with crisp, some would say harsh highs. Not to harsh though.

Edit to add - My dad has infiniti coaxials in his truck and they are just a little to harsh for me. So something just a LITTLE milder than that.

why spend that on coaxials when you could get components which will do better for a frontstage only and espcially if you plan on amping them. DOn't wawste the cash on coax.

You can grab a set of CDT CL-61A's with an upgraded 1" TW-24 for $150+ ship. I wouldn't spend money on coax's if you have the money to go for better. check my link to the site where you can grab them.

look into crystal ssx 615 for a coax. they fall within your budget with $ left over. they will out do your expectations.

I just dont know if I want to deal with mounting a component speaker setup. I know it is going to be tough to get the 6.5" in the doors. Where could I mount the tweeter?

Speakers can be mounted just about anywhere. Their light weight makes them easy to tape / glue / velcro wherever they sound best. I keep mine in the top corners of my dash, but right next to the mids and the A pillars also works.

If you decide on coaxials, take a listen to Pioneer Revs (Yellow cone) from a local dealer. They have rep as a very nice sounding set of coaxials.

I'm running the 6.5" REV's for rear fill, amped and they get loud and sound good.

Millionbuy has them for $75....

EDIT: Circuit City has them, so you can listen to them first, but don't pay the $150+
