$150 for components...ideas?

I previously had Infinity Kappa 62.5i's, and I really liked how they sound minus the lack of midbass. I now need to replace them, and I want to go for components. Money is a bit of an issue; I only have $150 to spend. They will be powered by a 2x100w amp, so something around there would be nice.

I was considering buying Oz Vectors a few months ago, but I never go around to finding a place that had them, and now I still can't. Oh, and the max depth my car can handle is 2.75 inches //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Interesting, guess I'll mark those down as a possible. Can that tweeter be surface mounted?

Any other suggestions? Possibly with higher power handling?

Never heard of them, any good?
Youve never heard of phoenix gold //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Well anyways they will sound way better than your infinitys. I should know, since I started out with the infinitys in my car first.

maybe some polk components the momo's are good but i think they are a little more than 150$, the polk db's are supposed to be decent for a good price, re components are somewhere around 150$ dont know depth of them,

I should have asked this earlier, but...how can you find the max depth your car can hold? I was told 2.75inches was the max. It's a 1995 Toyota Camry.

Contact a member on here with the username Tplaya07. He can get you OZ Audio for great prices. The Vectors from him are well within your price range, and frankly a very good option.

#1) You do not have to go with drivers that are 2.75" depth or shallower. You can make spacers for your door panel if you end up with components that are too deep to flush-mount them. Just an idea I thought I'd throw out there.

#2) Are you looking to buy new or would a used set suit you if they price/quality was adequate? One of the Diamond Audio M6 sets I have I got from eBay ~ they came complete with everything that DAT supplied with them when new and the original owner supplied two invoices showing where they were both installed and uninstalled from his ride by an authorized Diamond dealer. Obviously very well taken care of and I got them for $140.08 after figuring in shipping.

If used will satisfy you just have a look around eBay as well as the classifieds section of this forum and others and you'd most likely easily find something that ya like for the $$$ you have to spend.

I came across those too. Seen all the drivers out on the alibaba sight for sure. Wonder who is making them for PPI? Looked long and hard at those...
