half external. flare is gonn be like 6 inches on the inside and however long on the outside with the interchangable ports

IDK Either maybe i just happened to get a bad one that cant handle extreme loads, I emailed DB-r electronics on thier site so just waiting for a response back about sending in the D5000. Its whats gonna be in there in the end

Yes but the Orion should be more stable than the AP, Bass i think yours will be fine and im sure youll get what you want out of it.
