15 vs. recone 18

I have a massive audio dmx 15". Im debating reconing as an 18". Anyone like to suggest which path i should go with? keep as is or recone...i like low notes but also mucho loudness. only thing is right now i can only wire to 4 ohm due to the qvc set up. hopefully with a recone ill be able to change that..

if they do. do it...i went from a 15 to an 18 and couldnt be happier. due to hatchspace constraints i liked the whole single sub setup.....went to an 18 and never wanted to look back //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif itll be louder, with the right box sound just as clean, and yo ucan get the ohm coil config u need..... do it

ya ive had a couple people tell me dont do it because ill lose everything from 40hz up because of the size of the 18"....i dont believe that but im considering doing it

isnt it just? its also from the people with 2 10"s runnin off a 400 watt amp lol. i cant hang with that mega power......a lot of people say that in changing from a 15 to an 18 ill get lows and nothing else. just lows..and that ill need some 8"s to gain that back

this is how Cotjones got started... don't mix sizes bro... get a 18 and build your own box and tune it right
