15" si mag vs. Idmax SQ BATTLE

I listen to a lot of metal. Real metal - not your nu-metal shit. My two ported mags keep up perfectly with any kickdrum or bassline I have yet to encounter. I also listen to drum n bass and the mag destroys blast-beat type drum synths.

If you are patient you might be able to catch one at a decent price after the new release. There is always some fallout afterwards. However, the Mag has the best resale value out of any sub I have ever seen.

People make take 50% losses on kicker products BNIB. But even used Mags retain value very well. It isn't a very high risk to try one out yourself.

Whats you F U C K E N Problem, I just list genre that I like and you come and bash on it you piece of sh i t. The world doesnt revolve around what you like. Sumbody Bann this guy already.

the idmax ****. they will blow up when given rated power. I haven't heard the si mag but from the videos it will own the Idmax in everyway. stay away from the Idmax! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif I have owned two Idmax both blew up after giving it rated power! Stay away from the Idmax!
So you compare subwoofers, not from real world testing, but from videos on the internet? And I believe if you wouldnt of been clipping those IDMAXs, they might still be around.

I really hope you arent getting butthurt over his opinion ...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

Oh lemme put in my review!!! Mag hands down. 900-1100 watts and it will keep up with everything. Mine was ported to 30hz and it was mean. So accurate (30 sec. to mars, Panic at the disco), and when it needed to be, LOUD (JEEZY, danity kane, outkast etc). I did a 142.2 from the dash with a trunk setup in a car on the TL. Mag hands down!!! I'm only selling mine because I have to pay my insurance //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif . That sub honestly could last you a life time lol

something wrong? Giving it rated power is wrong according to IDmax! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif Si mag for the win!
Quit recommending subs you've never heard/seen/felt/jizzed on.

We have already established you really have no idea how much power you were sending that poor Max when you killed it. Its funny you always revert back to 'gave it rated power and it blew!!!11oneone1!'.. yet when questioned on it you admit it blew once you started 'turning up the gain slowly'.

We both know I already am aware of your retarded status, but others may not be yet... consider this your 'careful, nub may bite' sign.

Toodles.

thanks for the advice guys, seems like CA.com is always bashing on one another. sq is very subjective and i respect all your guys comment.Gonna audition the both when i have time.

t'is the best way to go.

Both are very great drivers. As said above, the mag does have a warm sound to it, but some may not prefer that type of sound, i.e myself. Because of the warmness, i feel that the Mag stands out a bit too much for my tastes. Other than that, it's a lovely sub.

get the mag. the idmax are junk. they will not handle much power. maybe like 500 watts max then blow up! Stick with something reliable. I owned two idmax, they were junk! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif People complain because they can't handle the truth..it hurts them..because I owned it..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Woot for another dumbass!

I have the Fi Q 12" and at first wasnt impressed with it and had it in many sealed applications being I cant go to big with my current vechichle.

Well recently put it back in as was sitting in room for a while and slapped it back into my 1.5cft box and noticed this sub is starting to come alive. I just think it takes awhile to break in or something. Cant give it too much power on the amp and is only 1200 Lanzar old school amp and seeing maybe 900-1000rms if I am lucky, but I go passed half on the gains and sounds pretty sloppy. I honestly just think I need a newer amp, but overall I am pretty happy with it now and recommend the Q.

But my favorite sub, which I have never owned, but have a couple friends have IDmax setups have sounded like pure ear ***. Got loud and was clean as hell. Like I have said before, I have seen the IDmax's off 1500rms a piece do fine. Just have to be smart with the gain.

Dude, no one is gonna take you serious being you have a "no fat chicks, car will scrape" avatar. I mean that shit is as old as me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

I personally dont think you have ever owned them or if you did were stupid with them. You have to be smarter than the equipment and it seems to me that you are not. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

based upon ur responses i think we all agree with big bang on this one. Im sorry but u seem to have no Smarts with setting up your equip right. And im just starting out and ive done stupid things, yet i'm man enough to say i have but you resort to blaming a respectable and reliable company for your faults

Your opinion

But as many said to original person.

You can only decide based on your ears.

SO listen to many subs.

Personally i love my Q and how it sounds in ported im sure it even tighter and more sq oriented in properly designed sealed enclosure based upon it qtc or is it qts. either way. The ID Max, Mag and Q are all potentially capable. Let your ears decide.

Mike
