15" si mag sealed or 12" mag ported at 30 hz

15" si mag sealed or 12" si mag ported at 30 hz? i was wondering what will get louder, SQL. I have 1200 rms. IF i chose the 15" it will be in a sealed box at 2cuft and the 12 at 2cuft ported. Cant decide, ahhhhh help me.

ported for SQL, i would tune a slight bit higher 32-34, my choice being about 32

generally speaking, i thought more people liked a 15 sealed vs a 12 ported if $ was about the same....flatter response & close to output of a 12 ported:uhoh:

yah i had a second thought about that too, prolly gonna go 15" sealed trying sumthing new since i already had a 12" d9 ported.

if you have the room (and money) get the 15. you always have the option to port that if it's not loud enough for you.

the only problem is that i think a 15 ported mite not even fit in my hatch

i would get the Mag 15 sealed over the ported 12. The Mag 15 is more efficient and the 12 will only be louder around tuning. i was going to get either two 12's ported or 2 15's sealed and was told by many with a lot of experience with both drivers to get the 15's sealed. I used to have one 15 ported, now i have two 15's sealed. All i can say is wow, they get very,very,very loud sealed, trust me. hope this helps

but yes. one mag 15 usually is enough for most bas heads

i personally like the sound of sealed subs better then ported, but i have grown out of that eye ball crushing loud bass thing
