Sold 15" recone kits

^ The voice coil should fit any sub that uses a 3" coil. These were purchased for some 1200 watt Sound Related Technology subs, but it's a generic kit.

the coil's exact I.D. is 3.002" with a 4 layer wrap that is 1.8" wide on a 3" tall former...

completely and utterly wrong. Any sub that uses a 3" coil can range from 2.8" to 3.4". There is far from a standard 3" coil size

Since when does 2.8" or 3.4" = 3" ?

If your sub LITERALLY uses a 3" coil then it should fit.....

notice how I also posted the exact I.D. dumbass..... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

wanna call me a dumbass huh? Now I'll take it personally. Your lucky I dont have my notebook with me at work from the 15+ coils i have in my garage and I would show you how completly and utterly wrong you were.

Is ID all that matters ? how about the OD of the coil You said width, which you say is 1.4", but that would make the coil 4+ inches. what I assume you meant was 1.4" tall. and the winding width, since it is a 4 layer coil I would expect to be around a half inch.

there are thousands of subs out there on the market, and many of which say "3 inch coil" most of which use a nonstandard 3" Chinese coil which varies with whatever former happens to be the cheapest at the time.

Also how can your 3" recones be universal when spiders vary on most baskets. Also how are your recones going to be universal when the motor strength of every subwoofer is different. You goign to use 2 cotton spiders on a spl sub, like a btl? then if you could get the coil to go over the former, it would slam into backplate so hard it would break the former off and blow the nice universal 3" recone.

If you want I can show you some more flaws in this universal recone.

I never knew that was a smiley here. Very cool.

I was just wondering how a recone kit could fit everone one of these

hell even Fi has different recones for each one of its driver lines, maybe they should just make 1 recone kit and change the motor for each subwoofer, probably save them a bit of money

^ listen jag off... I didn't appreciate the post dump saying I was completely and utterly wrong..... sorry if I offended you by calling you a dumbass but I did post the exact ID for a reason...

If you knew how to read you would see that I said the ID is 3.002" the wind width is 1.8" and the former height is 3"...

I never said these kits were 'universal'... and FYI the coils were wound in the USA; not china....

If you want more then 1 spider PM me I can get more.... but since you are obviously not interested lilmanic.. P.F.O.

Calling me a Jag off isnt going to make me go away. You did offend me for calling me a dumbass and now I'm going to prove to you that I'm not and show any buyer who buys this thing that it may or may not work and its much more to it than droping it in. Your still leaving out one important factor on these recones. The winding width. your winding width as your calling it is how tall the actual widing is on the former right? That is something I and all the other people I order recones from calls winding height, as in how tall up the former it is.

How is somebody going to know if this will fit in the skinny gap of certain subwoofers. You don't even mention what gauge the wire in the coil is. is it 18gauge as it appears in the picture.

Bottom line is with the information you gave nobody on here can tell for sure if it will fit there motor or not. post up the OD of the coil and then they could.
