15" or 18" SQL sub?

I'd like something that plays rap and rock nice, but I don't want a fart machine like a Solo X or something along those lines. I've got about $500 to spend, so please, all opinions accepted.

I thought the OZ was a pure SPL sub? And I'm already lined up to get either an IA 20.1 or a Memphis 16-MCD1500, so power isn't a problem.

No, maybe you have it confused with a different model( i think it is the "power" model).

I've got an extended cab 98' Dodge Ram with the seat removed, and why isn't the 20.1 a typical amp? And personally, I really don't want a Mag. I mean, sure it's probably a great sub and is obviously the latest boner goin' around here, but what's something different?
