15"L7 vs. 12"SX vs. 12"Type-X

cause i heard two sx's can be just as loud as 2 l7's and sound better too

but then again two 12" l7's are $350 and two 12" sx's are $450... about.

so for 100 dollars more u think thier worth it over 2 l7's?

If you can port two L7's, that's what i'd do too......

no not at all, if its cheaper for you to get the kickers than definately go that route

idk bro i have owned both subs and i would never go back to an L7 just because i've found that the SX can get just as loud on the same power and sound nice and if you ever wanted to go crazy with it you can give an SX up to 2k if you wanted thats not happening with an L7.

I would never feel comfortable putting 2k to an sx, I feel they are only safe up to around 1400(and stinky), the l7's love 1500wrms imo, either is a good driver but if the kickers are cheaper thats what I would do

2 12" sx's ported off 2500wrms would be hand and hand with 2 12" l7's ported off the same power, I would feel more comfortable giving a pair of l7's up to 3000wrms however, but who honestly cares about such a minimal difference in power handling, like I said before if the l7's are cheaper that is what i would do

The SX do sound ALOT better aswell though so i guess in the end your paying for the quality so its just up to you i guess.

you have to be misinformed because I have never heard of anyone giving one that much power, I use to own an 18" sx and I never would have thrown that much power at it(unless I felt like damaging it). I had it running off a modded 1501d (capable of ~1800wrms) and I never threw more than 1400 at it.

that is definately not true plain and simple, the sx is not anywhere near a sq driver, never in its life has it dreamed of being anothing but an spl oriented daily street banger

from honest experience I can tell you the l7 would have an sq advantage if they werent right on the same level

biased is true but i had the L7s before i had the SX if i didn't think the SX was a better woofer i would have sold them and got some L7s again.
