15" Jl W3

Ok, thanks DrtySthV6SE....I've never owned any JL subs, i've always stuck with kicker and memphis (my current setup is 2 memphis 12's). So do you think pushing 600 @ 2 ohm will be perfect for it? (Sorry for all the questions I've just never dealt with JL) Thanks WickedClown

wow....i didnt even read that......dude u have 2 turn your gains down.....all it does is let alot of noise into your signal..and it greatly increases your chance of clipped signals

just get a jl 1000/1 and send them a good clean signal

Jl's are durable subs if you don't overheat them. Remember that a wattage rating is a thermal limit, not a mechanical limit. Gains up =ded JL. Feed them a nice clean, unclipped signal and they are gonna sound sweet.

What is the vioce coil config, and what amp are you going to use?

Well sorry for being a f*cking n00b but not everybody knows everything about car audio, and thanks to everyone else that has helped me. Oh and by the way i'm going to be running a memphis PB1KD 1000 watt amp to the w3, the amp will do 1000@1 ohm

600@2 ohm

400@4 ohm

Thanks, WickedClown

If your sub will wire to 2 ohms, that amp will be perfect. Just remember to be easy on the gain;)
