15" in a sedan?

So I have an explorer right now, but may be getting a new car in the coming months. Hopefully another SUV but it could be something small, like maybe an acura TL. Anyways if I go ahead and order this FI Q I've been looking at, would a 15" fit in a sedan trunk? If I can change boxes and make another that is smaller in height, but still have the cu. ft. remain the same, would it make a difference? Thanks.

Oh yeah I will be using a 750.1 rated at 928 watts rms. Will having slightly less power than what is optimal be better for using a 12" or 15"? I was figuring since a 15" has more cone area to move, it would be tougher on a smaller amp. Thanks again

The 15" Q would be perfect for your car. You can go sealed down to 2cuft so you will have room and your amp will push it just fine. You may want more power in the future but it will get loud off 900 watts.

Hmm, would a Single 15" be louder then my two tens then. I know the 15" has more surface area but with a bigger box, wouldn't there be less bass because there will be more blocking off the trunk to the cabin. Like my two tens have a small enclosure so there is quite a bit of room for the bass to enter the cabin.

i had 2 15" Rl-p's in the trunk of my focus sedan....

I have a single one now, but would my car qualify as a sedan? It has 4 doors lol.

But it should be no big problem, just measure first to see how much room you got. And the Q should have plenty of output from that amp, I gave my RL-p around 450w from on of the channels of my Punch 25toLife 150 at 2ohm and it still hit well.

15" Q in 4cubes @ 32Hz in the GF's Cobalt and it does quite nicely off 1k. Still have 1/2 the trunk left and plenty of room on each side of the box for the sound to get into the cabin.

Very nice daily sub for music and getting loud...
