im making a 3.5 cube box using aero ports for my friend

im using (3) 4" diameter

i typed it in a calculator and it gave me 25.89" long

just to make sure i divide that by 3" so its 8.xx"

also where going to make a plexi glass window to see the subs basket

what thickness plexiglass do i need?

did you type it in as a single aero port and your just dividing it by 3? or did you put in the calculator that you are using 3 separate ones? using 3 vice 1 will change your port area 300% which will greatly affect how long they need to be. what are you trying to tune to?

cool thanks ill do 2 ports then .. turns out to 16 inches each.

to mount it i cut a hole the outer diameter of the aeroport and put a bracket on the back to support the back.

what glue or adhesive do i use to mount the aeroports.

when i built the box for my 15" i didn't support the back of my aero's...although they were a little shorter...about 12" long total. just use some foam gasketing between the box and the flare and screw it down. you may want to duct tape the connections so they don't loosen up...if you glue them, you never get them apart if you ever wanna change the tuning.

If your using a flaerd port you really dont need to brace, doesnt hurt if you do, but when i use a straight pvc i seal the port with silicone and then for support i make a bracket for the pvc to sit on an secure it with silicone.
