i still have to glass the other side and cut the hole

Hmm... I'm really intrigued by the flared port design and I too will be building a box for a 15" Dayton HO or RE SE in the near future.

Are the kerf cuts difficult to manage? ie... is the MDF particularly brittle in that area and requiring stiffening/bracing? Did you use a standard table saw to make the cuts or a circular saw?
