Most likely in a extended cab ranger. I want to get a ported box, and spend about 200-250 on the sub.

Need to give us more info how do you want the sub to sound. What is you goal with it spl daily driver etc. What amp, what amp price do you have to spend. How much room do you have to work with.

I want a sub that hits hard, but also sounds decent. I have about 200 for an amp also. I dont know exactly how much room i have to work with. Dont get the truck for a few more weeks. Its a 2002 extended cab ranger. Just getting ideas together so i can get a system in it ASAP.

I am going to think you are taking the back seat out then, is there a back seat in the new ones? before they were the side folding and i remember in the 99 i had it had a bench seat though

Try a RE SX,SE or maybe a Kicker L7.....................Anything by Adire is usually good 2

yes they got pretty good spl but they will not sound good at all no sound quailty L7's are also pretty loud subs but again sound quailty is not as good on them not terrible decent if you listen to music like rap and such but do get pretty loud all of these subs can be had on ebay for 225 or I would personaly get a re sx theres a guy that is selling his right now for 225 shipped or i would get a alpine type-r which will have the best sound quailty out all of the choices and if install done right potiently be the loudest if you personally don't care that everyone in the world has a type-r then i probaly get that sub I also have power acoustik 1800ab puts out 1400 rms which can power any one of those subs make sure it is dual 2 ohm though that i will sell to you for 200

Well, there are a lot of choices, here are a few

Alpine Type R with a PG R15.1

or

Kicker CompVR with a Phoenix Gold R8.0:1

or

Soundstream T4-15 15" with a Hifonics BX1205D
