How is that?

Because more spiders add mechanical resistance. That means it makes it harder for the coil to move the cone back and forth.(this can lead to less thermal power handling since it takes so much more power to actually move the coil so it's just sitting in dead air.) It also raises FS. With a woofer, you never want to add more spiders unless you are bottoming out and have no choice.

one 12 inch square woofer has about the same cone area as a round 15 does... just saying, and good luck with trade keith
