145db with 1000rms??

ill take you up on it. Mine amps rated 1500 x 1 ohm. 1000 x 2 ohm. I show you why mines more powerful. I believe RF figures those specs out at 17.6v also. hmm
seeing as how you have to have them modded if you want to run them above 15.5v, otherwise they go straight into protect. also, i know birthsheets don't prove realistic power, but mine is rated at 2000 at 1ohm but nearly every one of them made puts out over 2.5k at 1 ohm.

at 2ohm, right at 2k is average.

You are truly digging yourself a hole here...

And I question the shop owners knowledge if he says most 6k-8k amps are overrated. people in the market for 8,000 watts usually aren't idiots bro.

So what if you take that same amp set it for 63.2 and have a subs wired for 1 ohm you going to get almost 4000 out of a JL 1000?
I think i got it...

The double down rule of amps is based on the ability of the amp to supply the necessary current off of the battery current.

If you stay below the car's electrical system's limits, and your amp's power supply is 100% efficient then yes, Wattage will double with 50% drops in resistance.

However, If you surpase the cars electrical system, you reach a cap on wattage output.

You also get diminishing returns because the efficiency of the amps power supply is not 100%... so even when you are below your car's electrical limits, the power supply has limits...

Notice that the stronger amps with better regulated power supplies are more expensive. The better the power suppy, the better all around the amp.

In the case of your atomic... you have a sturdy amp that can remain stable at .5 ohms, but that doesn't change the fact that you are either not getting the required amperage from your car's electrical system, amp's power supply, Or more likely, BOTH.

However, this doesn't change the fact that for his amp to be putting out 2200 watts at 2 ohms he would have to see AT LEAST a voltage of around 66 volts

XA series. I said I was close to 155dBs. Terra im not saying their idiots. Im saying they're not pushing what they think they are. I could of spent $1500 on a new amplifier when I was shopping for one. If he "threw me a sales pitch" you think he would of sold me a amplifier that would of costed me more...

I can tell you one thing right now, you have a 2000.1 bd you think it produces 2000 watts. lol. It produces 1700-1800. RF is noturious for lieing about their specs on amps many other large companies are too. Hands down those amps r the nicest amps ive ever owned.

there ya go retard. let me know if you need some help understanding.

I guess you're right though. underrating my amp is a lie. baha

I'm not sure what youre referring to. So the big amps are overrated? or are you talking about impedance rise affecting output? Either way..I think you are wrong.

In most cases I would agree with this statement. In this case you are misinformed on my electrical. Alt tested at 227amps at 2000rpm, Front battery 15.5volts rear batt 15.3 volts( need couple more runs of 0 to equal them out) Full burp voltage drop to 13.9, playin music full out peak low 13.7(at amp). I believe I'm puttin out 5k+//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

yeah sorry i was refering to electrical systems in general,

but remember your amp can't get all of your car's power.

If it could, and your amps power supply was perfect, you would see 24,000watts

holy shit, makes you realize we have a lot farther to go in amp technology, if we could engineer more efficient power suppies and DC-DC converters you could have amps stable at

Despite all the arguing I actually learned stuff in this thread //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif Lol, I'm not even kidding.

But we're still waiting for Mr. Man to give us the RIGHT voltage reading. 15.3v is your car's system voltage. We want the alternating current voltage the amp is putting out. No pics = no proof.
