Just talked to my man who hooks me up with my amps. He gives me better deals then the guys he sponsors lol. Hes havin a dB drag in march. so Im gunna wait. that way its "professional".

yeah it is. Thats the reason why I bought them. I went to him to get a amp that produced 6k-8k. He showed me the powerbass's because most the 6-8k sdont produce that true amount of power. You guys can say Im not hittin 155s I maybe lil less. I know you can hear me 1.5 miles away with my windows all the way up.

A JL audio 1000/1 only hits 63.2Vac to hit 1000watts at 4ohms... and the math works.

So what if you take that same amp set it for 63.2 and have a subs wired for 1 ohm you going to get almost 4000 out of a JL 1000?

I'm not saying your shop guy's an *** or nothin but it sounds like he gave ya a really good sales pitch. Thier aren't alot of companies making 5ks, 7ks,10ks, etc.. but they all make rated power or better. It is possible for your amp to put out 2k in optimal electrical settings but I doubt that the amp produces that much at 2ohms.

I can tell you one thing right now, you have a 2000.1 bd you think it produces 2000 watts. lol. It produces 1700-1800. RF is noturious for lieing about their specs on amps many other large companies are too. Hands down those amps r the nicest amps ive ever owned.

It's been my experience if you ask some one what they think they are hitting they over shoot anywhere from 10-30 db's.

Seen it a lot of times so far at comps with people that haven't been metered before. I was the same way, Many people including myself thought my first system was hitting about 147 then i got it metered. It was a kick in the nuts I tell ya when I seen the true numbers.

And yes it was loud and yes you could hear me from far away and yes my windows and car moved and shook.

ill take you up on it. Mine amps rated 1500 x 1 ohm. 1000 x 2 ohm. I show you why mines more powerful. I believe RF figures those specs out at 17.6v also. hmm
