14 volts

what are bottlenecks
Dust/paint/grease/dirt affecting any power or ground connection.

Wire less than adequate size.

Corroded wires/connections.

Bad crimp.

Bad solder job.

Etc.

FWIW - most stock electrical systems will maintain 13.5-14v unless you're running several hundred to 1000w. The difference in power between the two would be indistinguishable - and if your amps are regulated there would BE no difference.

Out of curiosity I tested mine out today. I have yet to do the "Big 3" and even with A/C on full tilt rolling windows up, stereo at average volume and lights on I was sitting at 14.1-14.4 at idle.

I'm doing the "Big 3" tomorrow....we'll see if it makes a difference...I'm sure it'll help as the stock bat to chassis ground is 1992 8 guage attatched to paint!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

Your voltage will probably slightly rise when doing the big 3. Mine did a few tenths of a volt:)

Are you competing? If the answer is no, and the amp isn't huge (which it isn't), as long as you have solid connections on your power and ground wires, you won't have anything to worry about. As far as maximizing your amp's output, it's not something you need to get really concerned about. When playing music you are only going to use a tiny portion of the amp's total power anyway. Whether it can put out 100W or 120W with a 0dB sine wave on a test bench isn't going to matter when you are listening to music.
