How much wattage can 14 gauge speaker wire handle safely? (I did search... I wish there was a stickied chart or something). I'm going to be giving my E8 around 400 (and be careful with the gains) and I want to know if I absolutely need 12 gauge or more... I have some 14 now and at $18 for 18 feet for 12 I'd rather not buy more wire if it's not necessary. Need it in two days... that's why I didn't get some from ze forum.

Thanks guys. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You will not see any problems with using 14 gauge with that setup. I always use 8 gauge for my subwoofer wiring.. Is that necessary? Well no, but I always try to get as least resistance as possible. As follows I got a table showing speaker wire sizes by load and distance. Might want to save this diagram for later use..
