I like what i read about the 13W7. however it's measurements just won't fit in my truck if i leave the bench seat installed in the ext cab.
i was once considering 6 x 1300w xplod subs. retail $130 or so, but on eBay they are new for $50. so i figured what a deal for 6 12" subs. but from what i've read, i'd rather not go down the sony road.
I'd be more than happy to pull my bench seat out, but not for just one sub, and theres no way i can afford to buy AND power 4+ 13W7's.
So what would you guys suggest? a happy medium of sorts? I've got $300 set aside now for sub(s) alone. but for the whole project my wife and i are actually budgeting out each check //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif so i'll have more in a week and 2 weeks...lol. I've got two ideas. please let me know what you think, and if you have a better idea let me know.
1) Buy one 13W7. take out the bench seat, build a great custom box behind the drivers seat. power the sub, enjoy. wait until funds increase and repeat process on the oposit side. leaving me with two kick *** subs. I'm thinking if i get creative i can justify this and do something cool with the rest of the space back there.
plan 2....
buy less expensive subs, and go with the 4-6 sub plan again. But which subs to choose?
If i could get roughly the same results from 6 lesser quality subs as i would from 2 13W7 subs, and spend roughly the same amount of money... i think i'd be prone to go with 6, just because the box will look cooler //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/toast.gif.bc0657bf54b9ee653b6438524461341e.gif
i'm still at a very early stage, but starting to chomp the bit some... please help!
also, while i'm here.... what size cap would you suggest for either of my potential setups? prices seem to range for a 1.2F @ $50 on eBay to $200 for a 1.0F at BB....
thx,
