13w7 box

i was wondering what would be the best box to put a 13w7 in???

i kno that jl recomends 2.375 cu. ft. @ 30Hz

but i was wondering is there a bigger box i make for this sub to get the most out of it???

im looking for it to just be loud as hell, but i still want it to hit the lows really good

I bet the w7 would sound great for the lows in a 3cuft box with using (2) 4" wide 17" long precision port aeros which would give you 33hz tuning.

Hot Carl had a w7. look for his thread. he used aeros., or maybee just (1) 6" wide aero.

im not really lookin to use aero ports, i was more lookin at a slot port

unless the aero port will make it louder???

i know a guy that can design a killer box for a 13w7, but its gona cost $30.if your interested lemme know.

i had B.J. Fisher build me the jl spec box and it was awesome... i was going to go bigger myself but i gave it a shot and it really sounded great in it.

thats the thing i dont know if i should just do a box to the recomended specs of jl or go bigger

you could go bigger, it may sound better, but i was very happy with what i had. i went from the jl sealed box to that and it was day & night diffrence

The JL spec box is designed to be a very good compromise between output, size and low freq extension. Those are the 3 things that any design will have to strike a balance of.
